Following the second festival of the Mehr-e-Ezam Club, two players from the club were selected for the final roster of the football women National U17 team Talent Camp.
Among those selected for the national U17 team at the 2023 Central Asian Football Association (CAFA) U-17 Women’s Championship were Dina Ghorbani from Kazeroon and Tania Ghorbani from Gorgan.
They brought home the championship trophy for Iran. Dina contributed two goals and an assist to Iran’s four-goal tally in the competition. The key to Iran’s championship in the tournament was her winning goal in the match against Uzbekistan.
Dina Ghorbani, after her participation in CAFA tournament, stated: “I had an extraordinary experience. I’m on the path to my goals, and I thank the Mehr-e-Ezam Club for this.
“I truly feel seen in Mehr-e-Ezam. Perhaps, if I were in another club, it would have been much harder for me to achieve such successes. It was in the Mehr-e-Ezam festivals that the national team coaches acknowledged my talents and invited me to the camp.
“The more important issue is that Mehr-e-Ezam is the only club where girls have priority and have a good space to be seen,” she added.
